Using my reports and exposure to players over the past two years, I put together an early top 150 big board

I began the process of putting together my summer scouting reports for prospects in the 2024 NFL Draft in March. Using my reports and exposure to players over the past two years, I put together an early top 150 big board. The fall and winter will completely reshape this list, but it’s a good launching point.

I broke the top 150 into six tiers. Tier 6 prospects are universally viewed as day three players with some level of upside that could propel them into the fourth round. Tier 5 consists of players currently worth early consideration in the fourth round.

Tier 4 cracks the top 100 and features the largest group. The 40 prospects in Tier 4 have the widest range of possible outcomes for the upcoming season. Prospects like Quinn Ewers or Tyler Van Dyke could develop into top 50 selections, or they could be forced to return to school.

Tier 3 through Tier 1 encompasses players who are widely viewed as locks to go in the first three rounds. The 68 prospects in those three tiers represent the best the 2024 NFL Draft has to offer. Only 14 players are in Tier 1.

These rankings will change significantly once I’ve had time to write full scouting reports on all prospects covered below. I’ll take you along for the process as I dive deeper into the upcoming draft. I’m still getting a feel for the class and planting my flag on some prospects like Kiran Amegadjie, Malachi Corley, Xavier Guillory, and Mike Sainristil.
